War fray between Georgia and Russia began, breaking the Olympic armistice as everyone is saying. That which is highly alarming (beyond the pointless loss of life and fortune) and which is not mentioned except in a convoluted and imprecise way is the reason for this fray.

The reason for the struggle is said to be the area of N. Osetia which, if someone reads carefully, seems to have desired its independence (although it is not clear is that is what it wanted or some addition/ reunion with Russia, since it is reported that the people in Osetia are 90% Russian) and this time it is being fought for by Russia and Georgia alike.

Both sides report genocide/ ethnic cleansing being committed by the opposite side, fact which demands we ascertain if the information that Osetia is 90% Russian is true or not. Especially alarming is the statement “I do not allow for Russian Citizens to die” in a land that is not Russian, not, of course, because for sure the murder of Humans/Citizens anywhere should not be allowed, but because a precedent is being created that war fray is a way to intervene in another country where there is a minority of the attacking one’s people, instead of taking the route of diplomacy and other ways of dealing with such problems. It is obvious to any thinking person that if a state wants to protect a minority of its people in some other country, war is completely inappropriate since the first victims of that war will be the exact minority the country is claiming to want to protect, exactly as the victims of Osetia prove.

Such a precedent opens the way for the onset of war frays everywhere in the worls with the excuse of defending a minority (whether it truly exists or not), such as e.g. Armenia invading Turkey, Japan, China, Mexico, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Germany, Asian countries and African countries invading the USA, Greece invading Albania and Turkey, India invading the UK, Scotland and Ireland invading England, and so on and so forth.
