Incidents of shootings are noted in different parts of Athens since the attempted murder of the second student, who was wounded in the forearm. These incidents are pointless and without apparent motive, but they give a feeling that bearing and using arms in Athens, if not all of Greece, becomes a reality.

With our analysis, answering to the question “who benefits from all that”, we will see the real motives and targets behind these events, such as the shootings at the riot-car of Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) and at a suburban railway car.

We have already said why the only way to discover the culprits and organizers of any situation, good or bad, is to seek those people and/or groups who have an interest in the results of any act and any incident. Today we will begin our analysis with who does not benefit from the acts of violence where guns and other such means are involved. Like in the cases of the damages to the city, so do the cases of the shootings against a riot-car or a train car not, for sure, benefit the People. Primarily, in the case of the riot car, the People would not be satisfied with nor would they benefit in the struggle that began on December 6 with wounding or killing one or more police men. They proved this with the great People’s/ student protests where the People truly participated and where no attack by Citizens to police officers was noted, and police officers often were in the difficult position of not knowing whether they should take or ignore the flowers that the People (and mostly children) offered them. The blind/ random murder of police officers is in no case going to help that which the People seek, which is the upkeeping of Human Rights and the Constitution.

Also, the People is not interested in shooting themselves, as they would have if the individuals who shot against the suburban railway car were part of the Citizens. The reaction the People had at the murder of a young Citizen shows how priceless each one’s life is considered by the Greek People.

Additionally, to any free thinking Human, who is aware of Greek reality, it is known that bearing arms is unusual between Greeks and certainly regarding army weaponry such as rifles and Kalashnikovs, which are not widely available nor anything the average Athenian keeps in his/her closet. The individuals who have/use and have the knowledge to use successfully such weapons are persons who for any reason are above the law regarding using arms and carrying them. This law forbids Greeks to have, outside their home, anything, even if that is a simple switchblade or a butter knife (this includes possession of blades or weapons within vehicles that are privately owned).

Special weaponry like war guns (as opposed to hunting ones) are not available to Citizens, nor are permits for such gun types except if these Citizens are part of special security forces and/or have state or army positions. Even then, these weapons are service weapons and the big automatics or other types of heavy weaponry are not given for personal use or to take to the city or the home.

From the above alone, we see that it is rather impossible for Citizens to be implicated in these kinds of events which are currently being projected. Those who could be the culprits are individuals already recruited by organizations or state-approved branches and therefore with access to such kind of equipment.

Special importance in order to discover what is sought after and who is behind the ‘shootings in Athens’ are the interpretations of ‘experienced specialists on terrorism’ who decree that the mysterious aggressors had intent to kill and have targeted the Hellenic Police, then go on to predict that the attacks will become more vicious and bloody, implying that something dynamic by the state should be done to suppress the mysterious Kalashnikov users or those of any other weird weapon. Especially worrying is the statement of an EL. AS. Officer who said that the hoodies set aside the Molotov cocktail bombs and took up the Kalashnikovs.

Are the hoodies benefiting from all this?

Of course not, because, if we accept that the hoodies are urban deviant elements derived from the general European hooliganism, then instead of continue to be treated as such by the El. AS. they will suddenly find themselves facing charges far graver than those of a young man who threw a fire-bomb.

If we accept the real scenario, which is that the hoodies are confederates, at least, of the police if not colleagues, then they are simply carrying out the orders they have received to demonstrate that there is terrorism in Athens and they are not interested on whether they will need to be declassified as a group and labeled into something else when they have carried out their orders in full.

So then, we are led once more to the state as the accessory before the fact?

In this case it is not the accessory before the face but the principal giving the orders, as it is obvious that the only one benefiting from this situation and the only one able to handle state and underground state groups is the state itself:

The proof that there is terrorism in Athens or in all of Greece, gives the state the excuse to do any or all of the following, as they have been already described, called for or mentioned by politicians within Parliament and/or government:

1. revoking of articles of Citizen rights in the Hellenic Constitution
2. limitation of freedoms
3. declaration of martial law
4. establishment of totalitarian laws and authorities for summary procedures
5. call for help to foreign army troops (see NATO, EU, UN or USA)
6. revoking of the Citizen rights to openly disagree with governmental policies
7. avoidance of elections so the current government remain in power indefinitely

The more the government cannot control the Citizens who have stopped tolerating the breaching of their Rights and Institutions, the more it becomes apparent that the next government will have to be much more liberal and potentially in cooperation, fully in the left (even superficially, as in the case of PASOK in the 1980s) and the more the current government will become totalitarian or even dictatorial in a full revival of the process that brought about the Junta of 1967, when the then Karamanlis government and K. Karamanlis senior himself did not dare appear before the Hellenic People. K. Karamanlis was forced to take to flight under the false name Triantafillidis in order to be able to escape the rage of the Greeks regarding the murder of G. Lambrakis, which was orchestrated and endorsed by him and his government.

In order to understand the role of the police today let’s remember its role back then, when, as a simple viewer the police obstructed the People from aiding G. Lambrakis, protecting his killers not only during the execution but also during their escape.
