Much more vividly but again insufficiently is faced the crime of the bloody explosion in the shipbuilding yard zone of Perama than the one against the family of 11 year old Thanassis Deligiannis. Correctly, with a process of ex proprio motu persecution some of the responsible parties were arrested for the accident but not all, and especially not the ones who have been ordained by the Greek People and the Constitution to protect and prevent the phenomenon of criminal negligence regarding the security measures and conditions and the defense of the life of Greek Citizens working in the shipyards as well as all the other workers, registered or not.

It is unacceptable not to direct political and civil responsibility to the ministers of maritime affairs, development and work since they failed to ensure the security of life and protection from bodily harm of the workers in Perama as well as control the phenomena of ‘under the table work’ in addition to the very low quality of life of registered workers, fact which constitutes a breach of their Human and Constitutional Rights.

The ones involved also include the ship owners and other business people exploiting the shipyards and the ships and who trespass on the laws and legislation for securing and defense of human life, work and social welfare of the workers.

The families of the dead and injured are entitled to full coverage by the state as well as reimbursement by each guilty party separately and equal to the quality of life, income and social status taken away from then violently and wrongfully: not according to the unfair and blatantly abusive and unconstitutional wages but according to the smallest acceptable fee of a civil servant covering the daily needs and inflation of the era.

Concerning the guilty parties for this tragedy, the capacity to continue practicing their specific profession/ job/ enterprise/ rank must be revoked from them for good since they allowed for illegal profit the loss of life which is irreversible and undoable. This conduct clearly proves that they have no motive and/or capacity to keep the duties and sanctions of the Constitution and the Human Rights and as such should not staff positions of rank and authority over human lives, fortunes and livelihoods.
