That which we will briefly say in the small analysis we do here, but much more analytically in the area to be informed on for terrorism as well as in our basic blog Stigmata, is what is achieved and what else is attempted to be achieved with this group of same-themed news:

Primarily a blow is given against Greek tourism, which is for a large part of the Greek People a significant source of income. Systematically there is being done an organized coverage of these instances/ happenings, in combination with reports on the overblown, as they call it, pricing of tourist services and goods. Also, they present the average Greek interacting with tourists as sly, exploitative and a cheat. On top of that, they have lately been presenting him as a bully, mafia-connected (such as the notorious taxi driver with the club), criminal and immoral. In the same time, they present other countries as tourist paradises where nothing ever happens at the expense of the tourists such as profiteering, exploitation and even crime like, for example, abduction of young children and disappearances of adults.

Also, beyond the blow which is dealt against tourism with the advertising of the above with the mass media’s blessings and those of the state, an insecurity to the level of terrorism is spread among the indigenous Greek population and those living permanently here, through slogans of the type ‘the murderer next door’, ‘blunder by the Greek police’, ‘zero policing’, ‘mad killer in a state of amok’ and ‘rampant criminality’.

This pushes the Citizens to fear and suspect each other even if there is no founded reason / indication of worry. This causes, therefore, alienation and avoidance to interact with third parties as well as the sowing of fear between couples or in any occasion someone displays moodiness. The fact of this situation constitutes a blatant breach of the self-esteem and dignity of the Greeks as well as their quality of life. It is a breach because the above situation is fabricated and not properly presented within and outside of Greece, regarding the commentary and analysis of the facts, not the facts themselves.
