An amazing phenomenon was reported from the news report of MEGA channel on August 4 with armed soldiers walking and patrolling the cities of Italy, something which had not been noted since the end of World War II in countries not under totalitarian regimes or forces of occupation.
The excuse of S. Berlusconi for this act of his is the so-called need for the application of his pre-election promise for added policing and better takes on security.
But it is obvious to any social scientist and objective political affairs analyst that the presence of armed forces which police Citizens is not equal to police forces but to forces of suppression. This means that primarily the state considers all of its Citizens as agitators and dangerous elements which threaten the existence of the government and the established class in Italy as well as secondarily, that the government declares an inability to convince the Citizens to accept its authority on the basis of logic.
The existence of armed forces in Italian cities is a highly dangerous precedent for all the countries where there is propaganda for the so-called “raising of the level of policing/ security” (see reports on the Santorini murderer, the beating in Myconos, the robberies, the hooliganism in Greece as well as matching incidents in countries like Canada, the USA and others) because it allows for a political condition that is nothing more than the naming of a political coup with some other term.
