There are certain historical principles that remain untouched by time and whatever technological progress Humanity has achieved. These principles can easily be characterized as axioms of social psychology as well as of political science as regards the transition of the control of power to a people / social mass and the transition of one historical / political era to the next.
Regardless of whether we are dealing with ʽdivinely ordained absolute constitutional monarchies or with totalitarian systems of peopleʼs suppression hidden under the façade of a pro-humanitarian rhetoric (for example, dictatorially-organized applied systems of communism, socialism, parliamenarianism, etc.) there is only one basic principle that determines their expiry date: the extent to which the People, on the basis of whom they rule, always betting on its tolerance and concession in permitting this type of the exercise of power, continues to prolong its tolerance, or, alternatively, and without any order coming from any higher command, decisively and effectively forbids those in power to continue acting as they used to and bans their rule in the most efficient way that seems promising as dictated by the timing and seriousness of the situation.
For us to be able to see reality as the propaganda of the power holders does not wish us to, we must erase the various political system labels, since it is not the labels that mark any transitions or the real expiry times of each regime.
In other words, in theory, the colonelsʼ junta of 21 April 1967 ʽfellʼ in 1974, but as we have proven in a series of our articles, and as discussed by many other scientists, the only thing that really changed was the changeover of the mask and label from ʽJuntaʼ to ʽTransitional Periodʼ but in fact preserving the same dictatorial balance of power between the power holders and the People.
By means of the changeover from the label of ʽJuntaʼ to ʽTransitional Periodʼ, the People was simply led to believe that a political sort of equity was about to settle ʽin timeʼ, given that the political system in power had already sown the misconception that the true improvement of everyday lifestyle and of the general social system / state apparatus could be effectuated immediately by an honestly-acting government that looked forward to it but, sadly, needed ʽtimeʼ; that the desirable and practically achievable ends have been marked as ʽmiraclesʼ and ʽutopianʼ and therefore as such should not be expected to ever be achieved and thus should not even be sought for on a day-to-day practice, and instead, what the People should have to keep quiet and gulp down was the whatever empty rhetoric the ʽeffortsʼ were described in by those in power, naturally in complete disregard of their real actions and their consequences.
This is of course all in order to keep the hope alive among the People, and therefore secure its concession, when this People sees that the same unchanging situation holds and realizes that even formally (that is, just in name) nothing changes with each changeover of polity or regime.
Classic examples of this have been the so-called five-year, three-year austerity imposed by A.G.Papandreou (as he himself heralded it to secure Peopleʼs concession), which never in fact ended but got worse and worse by the day till the time of the Memorandum. Another example were the green gatekeepers who had nothing to distinguish them and their fascist behaviour from the official fascist storm troopers of the recent history. Other examples come from all the cronies manning the para-state apparatus of the rightist parties of previous years who, exploited, terrorized, ranked and marginalized the People; the so-called departure of the royalist class from Greece initiated by the ousting of the king, which however remained and was supported by their preferential access to privileged public but otherwise useless and idling posts and upon retirement, by securing them with illegally high pensions for their life-time, extendable to their relatives and by sustaining their privately-operated NGO via opaque state funding, destabilizing, demeaning, undermining and cancelling out the State itself and its state-operated apparatus, by instituting a façade of ʽmeritocraticʼ, ʽfree-enterprisingʼ, and ʽfree accessibilityʼ theoretically open to all Citizens aiming for upward mobility via the usual routes of education and occupation but instead installing an informal but parasitic ruling class entirely inaccessible to the many, by voting laws that were cut to measure and cater for the same hereditary castes that maintained cartels and monopolies in practically every commercial sector that operated via covert selective mechanisms that assigned only the select few to positions of prestige, power and sizeable income. All these were of course carried out under the façade of the ʽenterpreneurial geniusʼ and ʽacademic distinction and workʼ scenarios, fooling ourselves with … this multitude of ʽself-madeʼ offspring of dynasties, followed by a brood of cronies, henchmen, groupies and party gatekeepers, who also came as part of their heritage!
The tolerance of the People is secured, as suggested by history and political science by two things, both based on propaganda and mockery:
1. the maintenance of the impression that the situation has changed and ʽin a whileʼ, if ʽwe are patientʼ, and ʽdo sacrificesʼ, we shall in the end ʽsee light at the end of the tunnelʼ / ʽbetter daysʼ and such like midsummer nightʼs dreams and red herrings.
2. the maintenance of the impression that those who possess astronomically colossal wealth and appear to be surrounded by ʽsuccess storiesʼ (to accept prizes, to enjoy general acceptance / coverage / and cover by the mass media, to enjoy approval by the upper class power networks and access to their posts, etc) have come to enjoy such privileges because they are more capable, smarter than the rest, that is, you, the People. On the People, instead, they have imposed the impression that they are by default ʽimpotentʼ, ʽbrainlessʼ, ʽidioticʼ and therefore deservingly belonging to a class under the those ʽupper-class patriots – the miracles of success – the impeccable personalities- the true leadersʼ whom it is the Peopleʼs duty and obligation to sustain out of their own toil and sweat, unconditionally, uncontrollably, blindly and unquestionably, even when they, either as governors or as partners to the governors make unspeakably idiotic errors, or when they immerse themselves in corruption, in illicit networks and state money laundering enjoying all immunity and impunity from all consequences of their dangerous and extremely harmful actions to the Nation, the State and the People.
We are dealing, in other words, with a process of persuasion so that the People be convinced to allow them to continue handling of its OWN Power.
The expiry date of every regime therefore, does not coincide with a government or polity changeover but WITH THE LIFTING OF THE PERMISSION TO ANY POWER-COVETER TO MANAGE PEOPLEʼS POWER.
That is the reason why any given government is not really interested if they lose the elections or if the A or B extreme party / coalition reaches power. Neither are they worried about the fact that for a certain period a particular politician will temporarily lose his/her post, ON CONDITION THAT EITHER BY MEANS OF PROPAGANDA OR BY FACT, THE PEOPLE WILL BE CONVINCED THAT ONE OR MORE OF THESE PARTIES / COALITIONS / AVAILABLE CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ACCEPTED THE RULES OF THE GAME, AND BY PARTICIPATING IN THE ELECTIONS UNDERSIGN AND DECLARE THEIR WISH TO PARTAKE IN IT, HAVE THE RIGHT TO MANAGE AND WIELD STATE POWER.
That is, the real political bloc (comprised by those who are behind the politicians and who use them to suck state resources and the Greek People dry) shall feel safe in Greece if a party, WHICHEVER party / movement / coalition / available candidate has convinced the People that he / she is wanted by the People or that he/ she has the back and tolerance of the People. This happens because there is no party / movement / coalition / available candidate who has secured permission from the Supreme Court to run in the election, or one such that has enjoyed state funding or one which enjoys standard televised and radio time (particularly if such party presents itself to be anti-government), or one which seems to possess more funds than the state itself, THAT WILL NOT BE TOTALLY INNOCUOUS AND SAFE FOR THE ESTABLISHED GOVERNMENTAL AND CAPITAL-HOLDING SYSTEM.
The real government bloc exists and functions precisely like the large-scale capitalist who can be found behind 500 different brand names / companies / mergers which he in fact possesses, controls and exploits, both big and small companies, so that to us it would look like there is such a thing as free market and competition, all to keep the façade of the monopoly game that he has succeeded in enforcing.
When then does history teach us that this system collapses in fact and in action?
When the People stops believing that they are obliged to obey governmental orders and instead start believing that they have every right NOT TO.
In both the international and local Law, payment for goods and services means a de facto acceptance of the legitimacy and integrity of the service or of the goods rendered. Instead, when we wish to dispute the service and lodge a complaint against goods or services badly rendered, WE REFUSE PAYMENT FOR SUCH GOODS OR SERVICES / OR IN CASES THAT WE HAVE ALREADY MADE SUCH PAYMENT BEFORE REALIZING THAT THE GOODS OR SERVICES WERE BAD OR BADLY RENDERED, WE ASK FOR OUR MONEY BACK.
This procedure holds in all cases: an interpersonal transaction is balanced except in the case when such transaction is forcefully imposed, in which case it amounts to a punishable crime. If one of the two parties breaks the transaction contract, then the other party reserves the right or is obligated to abstain from honouring its own obligations on the basis of the above contract.
In the case of the Greek governments, all of them purport to have made a ʽcontractʼ with the People, by flashing out a pre-election campaign full or acts / targets / and wishful achievements on the basis of which they ask and get Peopleʼs vote. For this very reason there is provision in the Law for the crime of misleading of voters / usurpation of vote that is substantiated with the post-election dishonouring of their pre-election terms and agreements.
Dishonouring of pre-election programs in their entirety but also the cynical acceptance of a pre-election lie and illegal wheeling-dealing to wrench votes, de facto and de jure justifies every Citizen who does not obey those illegal governments. In fact we can argue the case that even tax evasion from a level of social class down is not punishable precisely because taxation and its terms are de facto anti-constitutional (which is not the issue here) but also because they have been voted by actually illegitimate governments, and thus are annulled many times over.
In the current situation in Greece, where in government we have a non-elect, non-constitutional European and international directorate that simply has donned the mark of a legitimate government, comprised by a tripartite puppet theatre who have officially have dishonoured every single one of their pre-election commitments, elected to power by an objectively and de facto adulterated electoral body, following illicit / illegal / anti-constitutional and completely annulled electoral processes, political disobedience is an obligation and carries no criminal nor delinquent character since the criminals and the true delinquent and anarchic parties (i.e., those who dissolve any sense of Democracy and the State) are those usurpers of power and illicit holders of the prestige and privilege in our Country.
We the law-abiding Greek Citizens are obliged by the Constitution and international Law to refuse and resist payment of any tax, insurance, dues, if we disagree with the acts and tactics of those anarchic governmentals who have usurped and withheld power, if we truly wish to oust those criminals from power.
If no funds come from the People, they cannot remain in power.
As far their argument is concerned, the one that is catatonically repeated by all their parrots, agents and cronies but also by spineless, bonded citizens, that unless taxes are paid, the welfare state will collapse, it is already proven in vivo that such a thing does not exist when we witness an inability to medical care by Welfare Utility Funds and hospitals, by pharmacies that refuse to fill prescriptions , hospitals that no longer cure or treat trauma or emergencies, empty or incomplete schools in terms of personnel and resources, a police force that is incapable of protecting the citizenry, public services that malfunction or resort to anti-constitutional practices (terrorizing, bullying, undermining the Citizen so as to force him/her to resign from his/her Rights, obstructing and delaying service, exclusion from accessing foodstuffs, basic utilities (power, water, telephone, and transport supply), unsafe and precarious provision of accommodation and preclusion of a decent way of life, with amassing suicides and indirect murder of Citizen, and so on, with conditions like these expanding geometrically to greater percentages of the population even though there is still no general withholding of payments by Citizens, and when the official excuse for all this is simply that what we witness is a consequence of the crisis and the state deficit, it is mathematically certain that the threat is empty.
Such a threat is also empty because it is also visible to the naked eye that they have already decided to make horizontal cuts to salaries and pensions and to drive the People to their complete inability to pay for foodstuffs, regardless of whether such people has money in their pockets or not (just as during the German occupation, the outer cabbage leaves were worth their weight in paper notes of millions of drachma of nominal value) and so by just showing more tolerance, we simply invite more death for our Citizens, or our very own and familyʼs.
Secondly, it is certain that a mass stoppage of payments by Citizens for a few weeks (backed of course by the necessary various actions) would cause the immediate spasmodic reaction and collapse of this illegal / anarchic governmental bloc in Greece.
It would also offer a breather space for the Citizens as regards their provision of essential goods and it would send a forceful message to and be the fulcrum for pressure visible by the rest of the international opinion, which is very positive at this time and day.
In other words, for as long we keep hoping for a solution which would have nothing to do with our own decisive action which will show in practice that the threats of the governmental bloc mean nothing, we only have to expect more of the same, with greater speeds and exterminating facility that would put to shame even Hitlerʼs camps in Europe.
The only way to preclude all those threats from happening and whose aim is to keep the People yoked and scared is for the People to stop and in particular, for every Citizen privately and individually to stop listening passively to all those threats and remain idle. This means that his / her reactions and actions should be such that they could not be covered up and quietened or perverted by the mass media, as is the case today.
Let us not forget that the Greek People are reacting and intensely so but not yet massively, systematically, in tandem and unceasingly in its totally, thus affording the mass media yet another chance as well as all their cronies in out midst (ranging from all sorts of anonymous commentators in blogs to professional networked unionists, to anonymous ʽpassers-byʼ) to stage a fake picture of idleness and idiotic tolerance.
Let us not forget that Hitler, so as not to lose the support and the backing of the German People systematically hid the Stalingrad debacle referring to it as ʽa small technical setback amidst a series of victoriesʼ. Which in our case goes to show that if it is not us who will make sure that the true picture is revealed and shown regarding our complete intolerance, disregard and refusal to honor the legitimacy of anarchic governments, by each and every one of us Citizens throughout our everyday lived reality, thus encompassing the sum total of the Greek People, they, by means of their mass media and their partners in crime not only not do it on their own accord, but they will shamelessly continue to corrupt and pervert the true picture and situation up until they succeed in their target, visible clearly to all of us, the complete extermination of the Greek People, our Country and of Greece as we have known it, as well as the usurpation of every timeless Greek cultural, political, humanitarian, social, artistic, literary, philosophical, historical and scientific achievement.
