It is a commonly accepted fact that we are under a dictatorship to say the least, since many features of an occupied country are an everyday lived reality. It is also a fact that in its totality, the Greek People yearns for a change in that regime so that Democracy can follow.
The problem lies in that in their considerable majority, our co-Citizens sigh out a wish asking for ʽsomeone to come and save usʼ.
This is the very parameter that delays the toppling of this regime and the advent of true Democracy:
When you ask from someone else to come to your salvation, you also do the following extremely helpful things to the continuation of the regime:
a. you remain inactive, because you lie waiting rather than act, and so you leave the field open for the regime-sympathizers to act.
b. you lie waiting for a messiah, a hero in shining armor who will do the hard stuff while you will simply watch. In other words, you drain the power off the side you say you align yourself with just because you ask for a leader who can easily be assassinated, corrupted, blackmailed, and so you open another secret door for the regime to use to get to you.
c. just waiting and doing nothing you simply make yourself nothing but ballast, which can be used when the ship needs stability under normal circumstances but becomes dead weight and dangerous when the ship is under attack. In other words, even if we assume that a leader you wish for can be found, you ask him to do your job as well, making him fight your fight against all others, since at the block of the regime sympathizers, all work in tandem to uphold the interests of the regime.
But the most intractable problem that emanates from the wish ʽlet someone out there come and save usʼ is that you do not really ask for Democracy, but for you to have a more humane Oligarch, who will not only save you but will also execute all your moves / decisions / actions for you while you will simply keep wishing for him to exercise sound judgment in favor of you, just like a serf wishes his master act.
If you really wish for a real Democracy you should understand immediately that a true Democratic Regime demands the full and complete activation and involvement of each and every one of the adult Citizens acting in and living under it.
You simply cannot wait for a fellow-man or some sort of super-man to come and save you because this is not going to happen. You are the one who must rise from and go to sleep thinking about what obstacles you are able to set to the onslaught of the block of regime-sympathizers. You must be thinking about how to save yourself and as many of your co-Citizens you can, and in this manner you may make it possible for other co-Citizens to come and help and cover for you as well.
You do not need a leader because he will not come to save you but to use you as History has proven many times over, while if you force a fellow-man to become a leader while you will simply remain idle and effeminate, you simply sentence him to death of all and every kind, as History again has shown at all times.
Therefore, if you truly wish for the toppling of this regime and for Democracy to come, and if you want to be the master of your own destiny and future without fear that someone will decide for you and destroy you, learn what the Constitution says in its timeless articles and REFUSE TO OBEY WHATEVER ORDER OR INVITATION OF THE REGIME THAT RUNS CONTRARY TO THOSE.
This is what even the pseudo-democracy of today demands of you. It is not telling you to lie down and wait until someone comes over to save you. It is telling you to stop being the collaborator of the dictators and of the occupying forces indirectly but certainly, since not only do you do nothing against them but you do not even make it harder for them in any way.
If, when reading these lines the lame excuse ʽI do not know what to do and how to actʼ, comes to your mind, you shall be given directions on how to act legally and effectively.
If you simply say ʽI am scaredʼ, know that what you are really saying is ʽI do not want toʼ, in other words, you have already submitted to the yoke of the regime and you are simply asking for a less cruel façade.
