Frantz Kafka’s The Trial was re-enacted yesterday at GADA (General
Police Headquarters of Athens). No, we are not still at the
“abominable junta’ of 1967-74, but at the Pseudo-democracy of the
joint governmental scheme of PASOK-ND and the rest of the
collaborators, in the year 2012. That is, 38 whole years after the
purported re-institution of the democratic period of the post-junta
transitional period. How else, except as tangible proof of a ‘filthy
dictatorship’ can we characterize what happened yesterday at the
expense of peaceful and democratic Greek citizens?…
The Police Force headed by minister Michel Goldman (in Greek: Michalis
Chrysochoides) which catachrestically is still being called ‘Greek’
and is financed by the humiliated Sovereign People, engaged themselves
yesterday in acts of: police brutality, overzealous and out-of-duty
treatment and conspiracy against peaceful and law-abiding Greek
citizens! Because how else could we possibly call, ‘minister
Police Brutality’ all that happened to us in the hands of your para-state
troopers in and out of uniform? How else can we possibly
characterisze, Michalis Chrysochoides, the anti-constitutional and
anti-humanitarian treatment reserved by you, the great ‘socialist’ and
‘humanitarian’ against citizens whose only demand was the
implementation of the Constitution and the Law?
Yesterday morning around 9:30 am and before any of the traitors and
collaborating Nazists and puppets of the foreigners who have imposed a
dictatorial regime on our country had the courage to step out of their
hornets’ nest, we literally bore witness of the collaborator’s
governments of Loukas Papadimos. Let us deposit to the Greek People,
what happened to us yesterday by the forces of occupation, headed by
Michalis Chrysochoides.
As free Greek citizens we wished, taking advantage of the 25th of
March and the Annunciation of Virgin Mary, to honor our history and
religion. In a symbolic march we set off holding the Greek Flag from
the sacred Rock of the Acropolis towards the area of the military
parade in the Syntagma Square (the par excellence symbol of Democracy
after the will and mandate of the Greek People). However, and despite
the fact that we were holding in our hands, both our identification
cards and the Greek Flag, visible to everybody, to our great surprise,
we were stopped by a wall of armed policemen, who had positioned
themselves in front of a street barricade set up by two police vans,
something incomprehensible for a Democratic regime. The whole incident
took place in the junction of Phillelinon and Amalias Streets.
These police officers, whose majority were unverifiable, that is,
without bearing their unique officer’s number as is required by Law,
in an illegal, arbitrary and catachrestic manner denied us access to
the Syntagma Square. These police officers called upon an order
received by their superiors, which they declined from showing it to us
in writing or to communicate it to us in any way. They also refused to
give us their own details, which runs contrary to the Police Code, the
Constitution of Greece and the EU conventions on the rights of the
citizens to information as well as contrary to the International
Convention of Human Rights.
Against our insistence that the commanding officer show us his anyway
unverifiable police identification, as well as the restricting order
in writing, he communicated with his headquarters who gave him the
order to…arrest (!) us and transfer us to GADA under the pretext that
there we would find all the necessary information requested by their
superiors. Since the whole justification was baseless, we of course
refused to follow us to GADA so that we could be supplied the
necessary information.
At that time, they were ordered to detain us forcibly, as if we were
criminals, so that ‘they could answer to our just and reasonable
questions!!! Scenes of ‘exquisite beauty’ followed, whereby Mrs Olga
Yeritsidou and Miss Tanya-Maria Yeritsidou and Miss Foteini Kyzoulis
were handcuffed, hands in the back, while these ladies kept on holding
the Greek Flag and their identification card!…In fact both ladies
were subjected to brutal force to make them enter the patrol car. They
were also threatened with forceful violence, as, for example, when our
compatriot Tanya Maria Yeritsidou protested that the pressure on her
head would break her neck, the police told her that ‘if necessary I’ll
do it to get you into the patrol car’!!!
When we reached GADA, the three ladies were literally drawn and
dragged out of the patrol cars as if they were war criminals and taken
to the 11th floor where we were handed over (the three ladies and Dr
Isaiah Konstantinides, who however was not handcuffed) to the Homicide
Unit!!!!! There, they took our identification cards, which however we
had already shown in front of the unacceptable street barricade and
let us wait there without any further update…
And as we were waiting on the 11th floor, outside the Homicide Unit,
accosted by tens of police agents in ordinary clothes, we were joined
by other compatriots who were also arrested and brought there only
because they were holding the Greek Flag and posters bearing calls to
‘our’ politicians such as ‘you betrayed us’. Amongst those arrested
and brought there was the well-known newpaper editor and writer George
Karabellias with his wife, doctor Christina Stamatopoulou, who told us
that their arrest took place… because they were holding a portrait of
National Hero Theodore Kolokotronis, who was being honored yesterday
by the Greek People for his contribution to the national Revolution of
1821!…
Finally, the anonymous agents of the dictatorial regime did not give
us the details we asked for, even though that had been the reason for
our arrest and detention! After orders by minister M. Chrysochoides
(and unsurprisingly after the end of the parade) we were set free, we
were told in a most cynical manner: ‘we give no details’!!!
Let us mention also, that Dr Konstantinides engages in political
criticism through the columns of this newspaper against
M.Chrysochoides and his occupational government, Mrs Olga Yeritsidou
and Miss Tanya Maria Yeritsidou are the litigators against the above
politician as well as against the rest of the traitors participating
in this miserable government, who was NEVER voted to power by the
Greek People, but is the product of behind the scenes conspiracies
woven out by occupation forces…
Do you wish to terrorize us, you pseudo-democrat, Troika’s
pencil-pusher? Do you wish to gaggle the Press? Do you wish to do away
with the State of Justice and Democracy in this land? Resign
immediately from the positions you fill and usurped WITHOUT the vote
of our People: Mr Karolos Papoulias, Loukas Papademos and Michalis
Chrysochoides!
