In the world as well as Greek economic policy we have by now surpassed the stage of embezzlement and willful mismanagement of the capital and wealth of the People by the governments and the capital holder- corporate owners sustaining them. We are now at the state of the obvious, no-excuses-given robbery while the People watch on, seemingly without reacting.
During a time not so long ago, around the 1980s, there was, as always, a procedure of embezzlement of public funding which at times was exposed to publicity in the form of scandals or the appearance of emergency situations that a big corporation owner took upon himself to cover. Reforms, nationalizations, functions, works and later new reforms against the first ones, denationalizations, ʽthe free marketʼ, fundings, investment motivations, new works because the old ones werenʼt done right, all those things which should have been fixed expenses and not repetitive ones (and the funding should mean partnership of the state in the profit of each funded enterprise) were and are ʽtricksʼ through which capital from the assorted cashtills are formally or just with this pretext immediately transferred to the pockets of private individuals and politicians. Despite all this, before the 1990s were past, the whole stealing process took place with the cover of some benefit or interest for the people coming from it. Also, there was a tendency to ʽappeaseʼ the People so that the lack of an excuse for an embezzlement or theft would not cause anger, because the Citizen him/herself had enough financial leeway to feel that this would not affect him/her and therefore he/she had no bneed to react (e.g. the ʽgift to himselfʼ of half a billion drachmas during the middle of the 1980s, which was tagged acceptable for a particular level of politicians and/or high ranking state officials by the then prime minister A. Papandreou).
During the 1990s and onwards, until around 2004 for Greece, the financial affluence began to disperse and the leeway of the Citizen to narrow. However there still was a sensation of the existence of cash flow and potential due to the tidal wave of loans that were given without limit by the banks and with the urging of the state. These loans initially seemed harmless and controllable, but in reality the loan terms as well as the ever increasing power of the banks, which very soon became not just independent of the state but above the Law, the Constitution, Human Rights and any kind of control. In the same time with the continuous depreciation of the drachma which climaxed with the biggest depreciation of all time, the change of the drachma with the euro, the value of money lessed without being immediately discernible amidst a tangle of consumerism and propaganda.
During this unstable age, the People again did not react significantly to the scandals that came to publicity or any scandalous policies and ʽeuropean inroadsʼ such as, for example, the policy of paying farmers, fishermen and livestock farmers to destroy irrevocably their capital such as their wooden fisher-boats, their cows and sheep, their crops or even their age-old knowledge since they agreed to change methods or types of crops of which they knew little and the products of which they could not sell on their own, independently of intermediary big traders. This, for the small amount given them, constituted the group suicide for the entire primary agriculture production of Greece and the dependence of our country from others (at a higher cost, damage and often lower quality) while at the same time the particular former producers were led, again with the urging of the state, to invest in tourist businesses which are for sure dependent on propaganda and the will of other countries or organisations to lock out a country or not (a factor far more threatening and dangerous than the weather affecting crops). For some years the illusion of profit was given primarily through the internal tourism waves, in which Greeks spent their borrowed money at those tourist businesses or students (due to the scattered university campuses and the process of the Panhellenic exams) are forced to invest.
However, with this illusion of the loaned and false economic affluence the People did not react when the roots of Greek economy were cut away in the above fashion, nor when the different scandals of the benefit tills, the stock exchange, and other tricks of embezzlement and usurping of the capital and savings of the People took place. Thus, a redistribution of wealth was allowed so that the capital of the people be transferred illegitimately through fabricated economic catastrophies such as the stock exchange ʽfalloutʼ and terrorism or the occasional oil crisis. So long as loaning refunded the actually bankrupt households and businesses, the People did not react, reassured because of the periodic re-taking of loans or loan packages, mainly through mortgaging fortunes built over the previous generations.
Now, in a process that began in 2007, we notice a change: the re-taking of loans becomes impossible, the value of money is at its lowest and the People find themselves suddenly without fortune, money and capacities of production since everything is controlled in the job market and the front of underpaying the workforce is coordinated in all the branches of employed work. With the preparation we described above, all work is actually dependent even if someone is a free lancer, since, to be able to be viable as a free lancer in the market, one needs most of the times to submit to an ʽintermediaryʼ who will ensure oneʼs clientele and of course control it. This fact becomes more and more intense because of the outrageous ʽeuropean demandsʼ enforced without logic or actual right to the state in question, demanding the payment of arbitrary fines or the funding regardless of whether the state is able or has other priorities or needs other objectives (such as the irrational and illegal funding of the banks world wide, which in essence was and is the direct relinquishing of state money to the banks along with the capacity and guarantee of extra payment by the People who will come to borrow the money of their dire taxes, if allowed) as well as the added social weight and blackmail of illegitimate immigration. This illegitimate immigration is demanded by the European ʽoverseersʼ and is protected against the indigenous People of each European country, creating reasons for the emergence of racist feelings as well as social strife and further impoverishment of the People who are called to sustain people who do not contribute the same taxes as them and who take away the constitutional right of work from the indigenous people. At the same time, propaganda projects negative emotions into immigrants regarding the indigenous People and so they are averted from being absorbed into the population by being studiously reminded and isolated from the mainstream culture and education. Therefore, both sides are wronged and there is the continuous underlying danger of strife which can escalate into anything since, despite formal statements, a smooth cohabitation with the natural absorption that usually would naturally occur is not allowed.
Therefore in this restless environment we have an escalating brazenness of the right wing government with the support in essence of all the political parties currently in the political scene, since the basic orders of check of the elected officials are not applied by the opposition in any case.
So now we have a series of scandals, crimes and declarations which remain in essence untouched while the declarations/ promises are dropped almost within 24 hours. The People display anger but any reaction is controlled through the so-called syndicalist-coordinating agents which simply act as a dividing factor to fragment the popular force as well as through publicity which is almost entirely controlled by the mass media which belong to those who steal the Peopleʼs money and openly admit it:
Expressions which contain the words ʽresponsibilityʼ, ʽbetʼ, ʽexperimentationʼ, ʽprediction without guarantees or sanctions for those making the predictionsʼ, ʽestimationsʼ, ʽerrorʼ, ʽcontinuously shifting realities-dataʼ, in essence openly say that they will use the peopleʼs money with the guarantee that they will never return it but will ask for more, always with impunity.
The above occurrence of such expressions happens more and more often as the ʽeconomic crisisʼ is ʽworseningʼ. Finally, the People find themselves impoverished and now realize they have been robbed blind express rage and despair along with a dissolution of hope/faith in politicians, fact which wouldnʼt have been attainable in the 1980s.
The lack of trust/ faith in politicians and other officials, along with the realization that they are the ones who have transferred the stolen capital of the People to the recipients is the first step of realization.
The second step is the realization that the capital is not lost but rather exist and are augmenting under another, illegal proprietary title. The only thing the People need to do is apply the Law and demand the return of the proprietary titles to them, something which would take mere hours with new technology.
The laws and the way have been set and paved by our ancestors, regardless if there have been efforts to undermine them. The only thing we need is to stop being afraid of thieves who depend on us, and not the other way around.
